It was a complaint from the muslim community that a song on one of the LBP levels included sung words from the Qur'an, which apparently is prohibited.

MB noted down the urgrency, locked the thread and that was that.

Maybe this has something to do with it?

OMG, are you actually serious? Some n00b made a level, with that song and the level was shut. So the game developers then went and delayed the uk release date a month. In your opinion was this to punish the boy for making the level, or to say sorry to muslim community?

You need to read over what you have written again, I dont think you have grasped exactly how stupid you sound.

you have the wrong end of the stick dude.

Care to elaborate?

The level in question is part of the story mode. Hence created by the devs and not by a member of the public.

Pure speculation though.

It's probably just a stock issue with certain retailers and later pre-orders.

I'd hardly call pre-order a few months prior the release date as "late" ... :smileywink:

Also - 5 (so far) retailers - ASDA, Tesco, The Hut, Zavvi anf Woolies - running out at exactly the same time is a bit odd as well ... :smileysad:

Dear Mr ..........

Re: Your Tesco.com order placed on Wednesday 15 October 2008 (order no. 19826509)

We are sorry to inform you that your order has been delayed because the availability of one of the items has changed.

Estimated dispatch date: Friday 14 November 2008

The item causing the delay:

1 x Little Big Planet
Item not yet released. Expected for release on Friday 14 November 2008

We apologise for the delay to your order on this occasion, but hope that you will return to shop with Tesco.com Entertainment in the future.

Kind regards,

Tesco.com Entertainment

1. It says availability. Which implies out of stock due to late pre-order

2. It says estimated dispatch date, so November 14th is when they expect to dispatch LBP (the date they get new stock) It's estimated because they are unsure of when they will recieve this new stock.

Grasping at straws?

Ah! November 14th is a Friday, the day new games get released. :smileysad:

Are all the other retailers sending out these e-mails saying the same date?

Also, has anyone checked the US Forums? If it is delayed, then they would have recieved such e-mails too. Well thats if the reason we think is the cause of the delay.

Well, we both pre-ordered with game.co.uk so I hope we dont see any e-mail from them until Thursday with the subject being "DISPATCHED!" XD

As for the US forums, I couldnt see a single post or thread mentioning a delay with LBP. Good sign, although we know how slow some of our friends over the pond can be.

Yup, I was hoping to get it Thursday, but not many people got GTA IV a day before release from Game.co.uk. At least I dont think they did. :smileysad:

Want a giggle? Have a look at the US Forums. Some seriously epic threads.

An example:

Are you embarrassed?
