BBC iplayer staff posted on forum that they have fixed it.

Just loaded it, its the big screen version.

OMG, I'm on it now and it's amazing. They've actually redesigned it for the PS3 and it looks awesome. The picture quality is just like watching the sky or vigin. :smileyhappy:

dont have a PSP

look on this BBC page, shows all available devices, see if one of these solutions works for you.

It does sometimes, but it freezes up everynow and again and you have to turn off your PS3 manually =/

Ive not tried it yet, but anyone have problems with not loading or freezing, try emptying your 'cache' this normally resolves all issue of that nature.
