I thought the bluray disc would have some extra movies on the disc itself right from the start, but the only movie I can find in GT TV is the opening movie. What's up with that?

The BD is a waste of time, you have to install it to disk, nearly 6GB of it and then you still need the sodding BD inserted to play!

If I did not have to install it, fine.
If i could of run it from HDD because I installed it, great!

I did, it wont. Sod that. If it has to install and is the same game as PSN download then not allowing me to run it from the console without disc is just cruel and a waste of time.

Nice racer, though.

Perhaps your incredible fool-free vision let you know in advance that the BD had to install 6gb to the HDD. It'd be nice if you shared such bloody wisdom with the rest of us because there is no such indication on the box.

It was an either/or thing, either do not install or run from BD only.

Understand the comment before adding your own.

I was going to get the disk... Just the CBA phase took over, so I downloaded it.

Now having the disc I would probably do the same knowing then it was an installed game. The only benefit I suppose is portability to other consoles without the hefty download each time. It seems like the sort of game that should stream off of a BD easily enough though.

Tell us how long it took you?

The BD version should also come with a movie about hte history of GT. Other benefits are that you can play it on any account on your PS3. The downlaod version can only be played on the accout which downloaded it.

the download is locked to your PSN account and you must be online to play it. As my girlfriend also plays my PS3 and has her own account, I chose the blu ray version so she can play it as well

You blindly buy a product without any background info, that's your problem.

That is a fair point, I wondered if that might be the case thinking about warhawk's situation earlier on.

And you are a real god damn genuine intellectual for the effort, clearly.

I can't find that movie so far either. It's not accessed via the CD Data tool for video on the XMB so I suppose it must be an unlock when finishing the events.

I do not know about you guys, but in my BluRay-version, the movies came the same date the forums here went down. And I believe they are on the disc, since I did not get any question about downloading them.. and they are over 1 GB big.

This is why I bought the disc version, I'm not getting caught out again like I did with Warhawk!!!!

BD version.  The size of the HD GT-TV shows <700MB per show was the deciding factor. Even the demo from japan had big files and they were just normal resolution.

Plus you cant trade in or use vouchers (at the supermarket) on a download.

Needless to say, I bought the disc.
