Pro Evo: the proven game.

As always, I expect greatness this year and I just know I won't be disappointed.

One slight concern....players having Overall Ratings....it's a bit, dare I say it, FIFA-esque *shiver*.  I know it's not a big deal but...meh. Plus this new card system isn't convincing me.

It's really just the licenses that annoy me aout PES (or lack of) and I used to be able to put up with it being a neutral up til about 06/07 when I went to PES mainly for the offline, then I went back to neutral, but Fifa just seemed to go way past it with 09, I'll be surprised if the new PES lives up to Fifa 09 nevermind 10...

Offline looks pretty good on PES but Fifa just seems much more superior and much more realistic in every possible way... Still I'll give PES a chance to win me over

i gt another couple of pieces of news:

the first is tha one of the game designers has been talking about the code for the PES 2010. this could be one of the menu screens:

and the second is the tricks and skills will be returnin to its previous formats, i.e R2 + d-pad/left analogue. Link

Gonna get both games as i always do.. got a feeling PES is gonna reclaim it's crown as the best footy game this year!  

I just watched this and got depressed.

Why can't konami just add a roster update and an online mode to PES 5 and release it on the store I'd happily pay 15 or 20 quid to buy it.

I really hope PES 2010 is back to form, especially since it sounds like the onine will be sorted out.

the new screens really show that the menu system looks modern and clear, which is a big improvement on last years. the players look really good along with the stadiums. and the online looks very different.

In the next PSM3 issue coming out on 2nd Sept they are going to be testing PES2010 v FIFA 201. a hands on preview: with the new PES2010 code [PSM3 Preview Latest PES 2010 Code] and in this link it tells us wo comes out on top.

on a different note, on the WENB website they have started a arguement about which is better to use on PES - analogue or the d-pad?

 

i personally like analogue stick as it gives me a bit more freedom to move in what direction i like. but some argue that the d-pad is for the purists of PES having been used all the way through PES series'. which do you use?

 

@LETHAL - that is true, but i think tha the graphics also need a boost. a pretty big boost at tha. but as a PES gamer, i prefer it for the seies' gameplay, which better than FIFA', bt only just after 09 versions. like i said in an earlier post, the konami team want the online system to represent the one from PES6. havin not played PES online before this year (only had internet connection with PS3) i cant judge what it was like. perhaps some people can help me out on tha?
