Re: Soundtrack issue with the DEATH EDITION of Dante's Inferno?

I went thru a few tracks on that list and I may have only listened to 10 or 30 seconds or so of each as they boring, they are more interesting in the mood of the game...I really see this as pointless as oundtrack on DVD anyway....but I swear some are more then 30 seconds long? And if you think about it some parts of the game where music tones up the game, what do you, 5 minutes of the same monotonous music, its not playable like the top 40 is it?

oh wow, listen tp canto VI on DVD its really rocking!

LOL:smileyhappy:

Re: Soundtrack issue with the DEATH EDITION of Dante's Inferno?

Unless i am doing something wrong, the Death Edition soundtrack is excerpts from the whole soundtrack itself, NOT the Full game soundtrack as advertised, which is misleading.

Or maybe i'm doing something wrong. Someone want to tell me how to be able to listen to the FULL soundtrack rather than just 30 seconds of each peice?

Thank you.

[ Edited ]

There truly is a problem with the Death Edition regarding the soundtrack. The samples on DVD menu are only 30 seconds long, even without a fadeout and some samples are not for one track, but two or three tracks. EA is clearly guilty at least of ill-advertising, something like this is far away from full game soundtrack, as stated on the game case. Some people may go a bit further and condemn EA to the eighth circle of hell for this. EA admitted the issue in an official response, however they don't seem to do anything to set things right (it was more like a "oh, and by the way, the tracks are 30 second long, thanks for buying, we win, you loose").

There are complaints about this on the official forum as well, and my game retailer is already dealing with EA Czech about this.

And for the comment about boring tracks and no need to listen beyond 30 seconds - not true. There are many highlights in the soundtrack, one in the Bleeding Charon track, starting about 1:30 in the track - that is the wonderfull theme heard in one of the game trailers, maybe the best piece of music in the entire game (you can hear this aboard the Charon vessel, when the big beast appears on top floor, and it can be also heard in one of the Malebolge challenges). How do I get to know this stuff beyond the 30 seconds limit - well, alternate source of questionable legality. But since I already bough the "full game soundtrack" in terms of EA, I really don't feel any remorse about that.

Re: Soundtrack issue with the DEATH EDITION of Dante's Inferno?

You may have an issue with the soundtrack issue...mine is with the 'so called digital reprint of Dante's Inferno' when it is actually a password to a website with the book on it which you cannot download in any format, the advertising of a full digital reprint included with DVD, all the DVD is commentary from game makers, as we need more of that, and 30 seconds of soundtracks, and art concept (I ordered the PSP version with FREE ARTBOOK from zavvi now) and a website access to read dantes inferno, not on the DVD as advertised! Great stuff, a tenner for an extra DLC costume and games maker commentary and concept art...humpf....
