Hey guys, I need some help.

This game is awesome. Loved the story and the combat system.

My problem though is the combat system for getting big scores in the combat challenges.

I'm on 'Shock and Awe', and in the first 2 rounds, I string perfect combos together getting about 4-5k (sometimes 6k) on the first round, 4k on the second, but it stays the same for the 3rd and 4th. I just don't get it it. Why are my scores so puny. In the last round I get hit like 2 or 3 times, but I've seen guys get their butts handed to them and still get over 30k points.

Could someone kindly explain in detail what I should be doing to get the most points I can out of each round? Like how to make a variation of a combo?

I think my problem is with my variation bonus'. I don't know how to make a variation of a combo. How is this done?

variation bonus= a freeflow combo using ALL of the various moves would give you a high variation bonus (it's been awhile but i think there's between 9-11 different combat moves).Try stringing all these moves together......

What are the moves? I haven't a clue what you're on about. I just press square and triangle. Please give more detail. Thanks for the help.

It tells you about the variation bonuses and how to do do them

"Shock and awe" was one of the main ones I had trouble with but if you keep at it and learn the variations that helps a lot. And just to Bragg a bit I Just got the platinum for it it has taken me a week or so to do 3 of the combat challenges.

You unlock moves as you go through the single player game.....Punch,kick,throw, bat-erang,dodge,grapple,cape swipe,takedown moves. All these can be made into one combo(there's a trophy for doing ALL of them in one freeflow combo)

Ok, so correct me if I am wrong on this.

In order for the variation combo to count, you have to press square before every action, otherwise it doesn't count.
E.g. Punch, Jump over, punch, cape, punch batarangs, punch throw, punch, counter, punch, takedown? Can you confirm that if there is no punch between a jump over and a cape, then it doesn't count as a variation?

Nice link, very helpful. I was wondering why my scores were so poor... looks like I don't have enough variation moves yet. Think I will finish off single player and go back to these.

There are 9 moves that if you do whilst not getting hit will earn you 5,000 points, couple that with not getting hit at all in a round, another 500 points...do a round in one combo, is 1000 points...if you are to complete Shock & Awe Extreme believe you me you will have 30,000 points easy, thats is not the problem with that level...its the freaking time limit that is so hard.

Once you have unlocked all the moves in single playre hit the challenges and don't get hit in rounds one or two and try and get the all 9 moves in a combo, guarenteed 30,000 points by round 3...especially if you ground poiunds the last 3 guys with a high combo...
