Here's how to fix it:

1. Go into the room with the book
2. Let game quick save
3. Quit game
4. Load game in the room.
5. Walk towards the book until the "touch book appears"
6. Pause and go to options
7. Turn off every checked box (vibrate, auto pick up...etc)
8. Turn all music and sound to zero
9. Lower gamma to half
10. leave menu (game will save)
11. Click book.

This method was posted on the official Darksiders II forum, I tried it..... didnt work for me. The only way I was able to get into the Soul Arbiters maze was by completing it without actually activating the quest by taking Nathaniels scroll to the chancellor. I did all 10 levels of the maze THEN went to see bone head and the quest was marked as complete.

Doesnt work with me neither, and i have started the mission, so too ate for me, im *****ing *****

didnt work the first time,but did the second time after i adjusted all the slide bars (difficulty,gamma etc,) to zero,

once i was in the maze through the portal, i turned all the settings back to the way they were,but i did have problems at level 10 ,the game locked up on me 4 times, 2 of those were during the soul arbiter fight,but i did get back in without any problems,

i still find it absurd how they can release a game with so many bugs & not pick up on any of them during testing
