I figured a stickied Darksiders 2 thread might be quite helpful/nice to have on the boards.
"THQ has confirmed that Darksiders II's story will take place in the same time period as the first game, only this time players will take control of the Horseman Death, instead of his brother War. The game will reportedly take place across an entirely new ensemble of maps, confirmed to be double in cumulative size to that of its predecessor. The game will also feature the remaining two horsemen (Strife and Fury) in some capacity. The game will take Death across multiple dungeons and city hubs."

But I'm quite disappointed the game will feature Strife and Fury as well in one respect, and considering that the original never mentions them. I was hoping we would see another 2 games focusing around these 2 individually like the original. Surely that's a missed opportunity as I would welcome 4 games all centered around one Horseman set in different environments all with slightly different mechanics to appeal to the character
Maybe even have a final 4 player co-op game

I think even though Fury and Stryfe will be appearing in Darksiders II they will only be cameos. Most likely at the beginning when the charred council tell the remaining horsemen war is guilty of prematurely kicking off the apocalypse and has been sent back to earth to clean up the mess. I therefore think theres a good chance Fury and Stryfe could get their own games if Darksiders II does well (and it better) followed by the one we are all desperate for, with four player co op, hopefully on ps4. The question is though after playing as death would you really want to play as Fury or Stryfe? Death is the most powerful and feared of the nephalim riders so Vigil will have a tough time topping DS II with any other sequels. The only way I can see them doing that is if Fury and Stryfe are both playable in a third game with 2 player co op perhaps?
