Bit miffed though that Play.com, GAME/Gamestation and Amazon all have different in game pre order bonus'. It annoys me when that happens as unless you buy multiple copies of the game you're going to miss out on stuff. Pre order bonus offers are fine as long as they arent game related. Give an art book or something but dont lop parts off the actual game to give to select retailers as bonus content.

Urgh thats a pain. Still, as you say, its better they properly QA it before release. I read about a glitch in the first one that made it impossible to complete the game from the Iron canopy onwards. It never effected me but I'd be so peeved off if something like that had.

Well I've just pre-ordered my copy at gamestation http://www.gamestation.co.uk/gs/darksiders-ii-exclusive-death-rides-limited-edition-167521?pageSize=...    as I want the "death rides" pre order bonus DLC. I just hope they are still in business come August..... Sooooooo looking forward to getting my hands on this game though.

loved the first Darksiders, think i only really played it because richard4481 kept going on about how awesome it was lol. cant wait to try out the next one. hopefully theyve tried to keep most of what made the first so cool, think it was rather Zelda-like in its gameplay. remember it looking quite fanatstic too.

Yeah thats why I loved the first one so much too, it was very similar to Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time only with a darker more mature feel because of the violence and superb voice acting and of course Joe Mad's brilliant art style. Darksiders II looks like it will borrow more from the Prince of Persia games with all the wall traversal and leaping around. Death looks a lot more agile than War. I'm glad they dropped the block/counter feature too for this game as I rarely blocked but used War's dash move to dodge. The inclusion of loot is nice too I just hope they don't attach any grind type trophies to finding mega rare loot drops.

oh cool, a Prince of Persia feel might be quite fun, be interesting to see how it works and how different it is compared to the first then. being looser and less bulky should lead to a different approach anyway.

there was only one silly trophy in Darksiders which required a bit of grinding and that was the horse riding. hopefully they dont go too crazy with the looting in the same way lol.

yeah I remember that trophy, I tied an elastic band around the stick on my contoller and left him running in circles for a few hours lol. But yeah Vigil are saying this game will have a much more action/rpg vibe with diablo style loot drops and character customisation, PoP style traversal of walls and huge towers but still retain zelda dungeon roaming and puzzles with a tight GoW like combat system, and best of all Samael will be in it too (probably as the npc for one of the many quests) and he was a BEAST of a character As you can tell I'm pretty stoked for this game lol

The darksiders 2 thread welcomes you too Richard and Kudos to you for getting TheNarrator to play one of the most grossly under rated and Ignored PS3 titles. LOL its under 7 quid on the store now and thats a 40 hour+ game and people would still rather pay a tenner to run around in the desert dressed as a persian rug for about 10 hours, just because its a quirky title...... MADNESS ;D
