I just love dead space 2 - its the best survival horror I've ever played.  Only thing is, I decided to play it on 'zealot' mode cause I thought it would make it more scary.  Every battle takes me about 8 goes to get through.  Its HARDCORE.

Can't wait to play it. Loved DS1. I'll be getting DS2 sometime tomorrow. Just one question, does Extraction require that you have Move? Or can you just use the dualshock controller?

You can use the dualshock for extraction move is optional.

Scariest game i have ever played. Just on Chapter 7. Playing this with lights off, surround sound turned up max, on the 54" Panasonic. Screaming my head off. Masterpiece of a game.

Dead Space has never made me jump, it's all to predictable when something will jump out of a vent or if you see one lying on the floor you know right away it's gonna jump up. Amazing games but just not scary at all for me.

i bought ds2 special edition, but then i realized i never actually completed the 1st one lol. so i bought the films aswell and im having a dead space festival in my house. but is the order of the story like this?

dead space downfall(movie)

dead space(1st game)

dead space aftermath(movie)

dead space extraction(game)

dead space(iphone/pad game)

dead space 2

is that the order for the complete story? anyone no? i have started the first game last night again after watching the 1st film. i understand the story in the 1st one alot more now.

Extraction may go before the first game - I forget. Didn't know there was an iPhone game (*loads up App Store*).

Avoid being scared by random bodies on the ground... try using TK on it. If it moves it's really dead. Also, stamp on any body you find - then it can't be turned into a Necro later by those bat things

Extraction is the prequel to the original Dead Space, and I guess is somewhat alongside at parts with Downfall - storywise it ends as the Kellion arrives (beginning of Dead Space)
