Re: L.A. Noire the epic fail by Rockstar

i agree that the noisy fan can lead to some very nervous gaming.
maybe save a few quid now and trade it in before it dies. i got 160euro for my 80gb yesterday. was only expecting around 100 as thats all my xbox got me

I have the continuous play policy, so if it dies it won't be too bad. Just slightly frustrated as was looking forward to a night of gaming and takeaway. Oh well seems I will have to go to the pub instead. :smileyhappy:

Re: L.A. Noire the epic fail by Rockstar

This game is far from an epic fail. It's a fantastic game! Been playing for 5+ hours without a single problem, though i have a slim.

I think it's just wear and tear on the fat consoles and maybe they are just struggling to keep up with the tech involved in this game

Playing: Crysis 3, MGR:R, Blops 2, AC3 Awaiting: GTA5!!!

4 hours so far on an old skool ps3 that has recently died and been brought back to life and have had no troubles...thus far.

liking the game,im more of a "FREEEEEEEZZZZMOTHERF**KER" kinda guy and have been finding it hard to tell weather they are telling porkies. better get the missis involved 1. she loves a bit of colombo, mid summer murders and the like, 2. she can spot me a mile off if im trying to tell her a fib

Re: L.A. Noire the epic fail by Rockstar

this forum lately has just been full of shock headlines and sensationalism, i like most other people have had no problems with the game. Dont know how the op can call this game an epic fail before even playing it

Re: L.A. Noire the epic fail by Rockstar

Played this morning for a couple of hours, great game by the way, then the fan went crazy again. So turned off.

I never play for long anyway, so I can live with two hour bursts I guess.

Whilst I understand that if you have no issues with the game it can be a tad annoying to hear senationalist stories. I can also be fairly frustrating to have a problem and because, as it seems, it is a fairly rare problem, to be accused of sensationalism. This isn't directed towards comments in this thread. But through my journeys through the internet, reading threads and trying to see if there is a fix.

It seems that this generation of consoles has so many different nuances, that whilst a game may work well for some it may indeed not function properly for others. I off course do not rule out a possible 'near death experience' for my aging Ps3. Yet most of the signs, show a perfectly healthy running machine.

I suppose time will tell. :smileyhappy:

Im sure you've had other games freeze on you though, I know yourself and others have had this game freeze on them, but this dosnt make it an epic fail.

Its the thread title here that really annoys me, especially as its come from some one who hasnt even played the game.

And i also notice that RONNYNS hasnt been big enough to come back to the thread he started and admit he was wrong.
