I think a few of the RDR/GTA event guys will be picking it up, we might slowly start to introduce it into the event night as GTA can be a pain for lobbies/parties.

I think this is slowly creeping up to be day one now with all the emails I keep getting from Rockstar, and with all the good things I've heard about multiplayer.

Don't get me wrong I'm a Max Payne fan, but I just buy my games differently now this year instead of just pre order all the good games I like etc. Funds are a little tighter as well.

But its Rockstar, there is naff all out for what seems like ages so its a no brainer really

First day one purchase of the year for me nothing else has grabbed me worthy of day one so far this year. 

Rockstar have not let me down once so far but i did avoid Manhunt 2. 

Depending what the multiplayer's like i might even invest in the Rockstar season DLC pass.

Could defo be a fun one if enough people pick the game up over time and it does sound like many of the guys who join the RDR/GTA event will be doing so in time.

it does look mighty impressive tbh from the vids i've seen. still not decided yet, might be one to pick up if the price drops a little after release.

not having played a max payne before, is there any sort of open world in these games to have a mess about? (ala GTA/RDR)

I don't think there is matt. This is the first time Max Payne has had multiplayer if I am not mistaken. I did play a max payne a while ago and it was good but I remember very little about it apart from the awesome bullet time

I doubt that there would be open world... it wouldn't suit the narrative.... and the older games weren't..
