Re: Max Payne 3

After playing all yesterday,

Single Player: Fantastic, great mix of action and storyline. It's fun seeing Max dive into stuff, nice animation.

Multiplayer: Connection problems, lag and just not all that fun for me. I know it's the first day and everything, but I don't think I'l play MP for long.

Re: Max Payne 3

Just completed the single player and it has to be my favourite game of the year. The story is badass and the gameplay is near perfect. My only gripe is that the running controls can be a bit iffy but i've only experienced this a few times. There are also some glitches but they'll probably be ironed out with a patch. The single player was the perfect length, but it still left me wanting more max Payne :smileyhappy:

Re: Max Payne 3

anyone have issues with trophies unlocking?

i'm on about chapter 5 or 6 but the trophies for completing chapters 1 & 2 hasn't come up.  Am I missing something?  i'm only on normal, does it need to be done on hard to get them?

Re: Max Payne 3

Did you choose aim assist? I know on hard trophies don't work if you have aim assist on.

Just completed it on hard with free aim, 14 hours, what a game.

Re: Max Payne 3

Just finished it myself - story was really excellent, script was like something from a Raymond Chandler novel and gunfights were brutal but satisfying.

I'd echo what mercury7891 said, I often found myself walking awkwardly around instead of running and doors posed more of a challenge than they should've, but that didn't really detract from the experience too much.

Spoiler
They really piled on the goons by the end though, what went down in that police station was closing in on genocide...

What's it like on hard? I have to confess certain bits, even on medium, had me dying repeatedly.

Re: Max Payne 3

Hard isn't too bad it is mostly easy apart from certain points. I only died 259 times lol
