Can any of you fine gentlemen help me get the multiplayer trophies 'Dearest Of All My Friends' and 'Max Payne Invitational'? They are relatively simple trophies but not many on my FL are playing MP3.

The lag in this game is absolutely atrocious. I have a fibre optic connection 38MB down / 8 MB up / sub 15ms ping and multiplayer is virtually unplayable for me. I can see other players running on the same spot before teleporting 5 steps ahead. I am constantly removed from matches saying there was a connection problem. How on earth do they expect anyone to play under these conditions or is it just me? The connection problems have killed the multiplayer aspect of this game for me.

Please ignore the above comment. I had a bizarre problem with only the wired connections on my router. Sorry for slagging off the multiplayer. My bad lol

Yes, it's happening to me on top of the hotel roof *every single bloody time*. I get to have about a half dozen attempts at it, then the sound cuts out on the final go, then the game freezes. As I say this happens every time. It's driving me freakin mental. No way am I deleting game data after fighting my way to the end chapter!

Just finished it... and loved it... I can see why gamers who are frustrated at the new gen interactive movie nature of games might get annoyed at the game... A hell of a lot of cutscenes (which seemingly can't be skipped) and if you suffer from nausea or epilepsy the presentation might be too much... but I loved it...

Yes, the gameplay is very repetitive.. but it's a third person shooter, modern shooters generally don't allow for much aside from duck and cover shooter, and when they do something else (Gears of War vehicle sections) it usually doesn't work that well...

Can't judge the gameplay in it's entirety yet, as I haven't tried multiplayer, and I played the SP through on Easy with all aids on, so I could get the most stylish run through possible on my first story run.. (kinda emulating the early play trailers, lol)... I'll bump it up to Normal now and play a more conservative game... I get the most gameplay satisfaction from a game when I find the difficulty that brings out the best in the game mechanics... and it sounds like if this one turns in ultra conservative cover shooting on the hard difficulties then I'll probably give that a miss..

So far GOTY for me, and I think it'll be the best Action/Adventure - Third Person Shooter of the year based on Rockstar's ability to tell a story and make it look good in the process... For third person action I can't see Resident Evil 6 being better (albeit a completely different type of game) ... Assassins Creed 3, though not linear or a a shooter could yet be the best third person game of the year if it can break itself from the shadows of the two semi-sequels ACB and ACR...

I've de-stickied the thread as chat for this game has died back a bit now. Also I've merged some of those smaller Max Payne threads in to this one, this allows for everything to be in one space and hopefully makes bits of info easier to find.
