Portal 2 has already won the "Most Anticipated" game of the year 2011 from the VGA's and is shaping up to be a fantastic looking game especially for PlayStation owners. And if you didn't know, On your purchase Portal 2 brand new on the PS3 you get a steam version of the game absolute free. Also with the games launch is Steam coming to the Playstation 3 which means great things. One of them being free map and expansion packs for PS3, being free but still costing money for Xbox 360 owners. Portal 2 will launch with cross Platform Co-Op play,
What does this mean?
Well if you have every had a friend or friends that play on PC or MAC while you Play on your PS3, you can all play together now, so i can have a friend on there PC playing the game while i sit in my home theatre and play on that.
The game is also to have up to 40 hours of game-play (Single and Co-Op Play) now instead of that little 5 hour game in the orange box. And as this is a full game now it has and/or will have full trophy support with a platinum making it that more inviting to play.
The official release date for now is: 4/19/2011 or April 19th 2011 (it can change)

Valve said that the Single player was about double the length of the first game, Smart, 5+ hours of play, Not so smart 40 hours.
Also buy the PS3 version, link your PSN to your Steam account and get the PC version free!!!
I never played Portal on the PS3, not sure how the Joypad will cope with some of the fast moves that are really only capable with a mouse, since it will be cross platform online (afaik) valve should really allow PS3 owners to plug in a mouse and play, saying that I thought that would be a standard thing with this gen since PS3 works with mice, think Unreal Tournament was only game that used it.
