Hey everyone,
Our team of veteran Insomniacs in North Carolina has been hard at work developing Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force, and today I’m happy to share new details surrounding Ratchet & Clank‘s latest PSN adventure.
Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force heads back to the classic camera, weapons and third-person Ratchet gameplay that the series has been known for while adding in a brand new tower defense element that’ll have you building and defending a base against invasions using your ultimate Ratchet & Clank arsenal.
This new twist, added to the classic Ratchet gameplay, brings a whole new level of strategy and decision-making to Q-Force. You’ll want to make sure your hoverboots are laced up and ready as you race to defeat your enemy while keeping your base secure. Wait… hoverboots don’t have laces…
In Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force, our heroes face a new nemesis – one who has a nasty surprise planned for Captain Qwark. You’ll be able to choose between playing as Ratchet, Clank and Captain Qwark and then confront an alien army across five levels set on three different planets. The game allows you and a friend to play together with either split-screen or online cooperative gameplay.
In addition, Q-Force will offer a ton of replay value, including an online mode we’ll reveal later, as well as loads of upgrades, extra character skins and unlockable content. We wanted to share the first screenshots of the game with you here.
Everyone here is very excited to bring Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force to you this autumn. In the meantime, if you want to refresh your memory on how it all started, check out the Ratchet and Clank Trilogy that just released this June.
That’s all for now. There’ll be much more to come from Ratchet & Clank this summer and autumn as we celebrate Ratchet’s 10th Anniversary! As always, for the latest news, be sure to like Insomniac Games on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter.

Hey folks,
At Insomniac, we are proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ratchet & Clank, which is coming up later this year. We know that the HD remaster of our classic PS2 Ratchet & Clank games is something our community has been requesting for a long time and we’re looking forward to bringing this to fans this summer with The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy.
We’ve also heard a lot of community requests to develop a new Ratchet & Clank game, one that returns to the classic third-person Ratchet & Clank camera. We listened to your requests and this Autumn Insomniac will release our own new Ratchet & Clank game as part of our 10th Anniversary Celebration.
I’d like to officially announce that Ratchet & Clank: QForce will be coming soon to a PlayStation 3 near you.
Ratchet & Clank: QForce is a fun-sized Ratchet adventure that will be available to download from PlayStation Store or purchase on Blu-Ray disc across Europe. We’ve returned to the series’ classic feel, camera, controls and weapons. Even better, the addition of online features means there’s a whole new way to play Ratchet & Clank with your friends! We’re really excited about this game and we hope even these small tidbits about it get you excited too.
We’ve been hard at work on Ratchet & Clank: QForce and today we can unveil the European packshot which should give you a taste of what to expect when the game launches later this year. In the meantime, we hope you pick up The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy and will have more details on its release date very soon.
Ted

This must be the bonus the US is getting with the HD Collection then. Hopefully it has New Game Plus and enough content to last a decent amount of time unlike Quest 4 Booty.

Sounds like a Quest for Booty/Tools of Destrcution size game to me.
Remember Insomniacs are working on 2 other games, Overstrike for EA and the facebook game 'Outernauts' as well so I dont expect this to be a full sized game.
Speaking of QFB/TOD. I need to play the other one that was removed from the store (not the one that was free).

It looks likely to be a mid size/priced title like QFB. Still haven't played All 4 One yet but it's a bit of a formula change like Gladiator on PS2.
I am not that fussed about Gladiator missing off the HD collection the weakest of the PS2 games as is All 4 One on PS3.
Trophy patch for Tools of Destruction would be great but won't happen best R&C game this generation in my opinion.

TOD is the one I haven't played, its a full game as well I though it was half a game like QFB lol. I've got some credit at Gamestation so might go and get it some time.
TOD is definitely worth getting more game for your buck than QFB and ACRIT.
QFB is basically an expansion to the Tools of Destruction storyline the filler to A Crack in time where it concludes.

It is which is why I said I hope it has enough content to last. I wasn't talking about the actual length of the game, I'm fine with that, I was not fine with the lack of skill points, weapons, weapon upgrades and, most importantly, new game plus, hence why I hope this has enough content to last much longer than Quest 4 Booty did (since it has more or less no replayability).
