I recently downloaded Silent Hill...I think I'm gonna need a walkthrough, I'm already stuck & I'm only at the Doghouse haha. Can't see nothing in the fog!

Nevermind...Never checked the map on the wall. All these years of ''holding your hand games'' has crippled me.

Amazon.com are no longer selling it and they're refunding customers who bought it from them, reason being the ports are so shockingly bad and bug filled as well as the fact they aren't even graphically improved, which is what they're being marketed as.

The developer who ported these games has done a load of other stupid stuff like remove the grain filter and a lot of the fog as well as other things in order to 'show off' how 'good' the graphics are, what's more terrible is that many of these things they're changing were all done on purpose for the sake of the game's artistic direction (the documentary making of Silent Hill 2 on youtube has the designers talking about it back when these games first came out, if anyone cares, it's a great watch for Silent Hill fans ).

Real shame they put no effort into these ports where it matters, they change the voice actors the fanbase loves and made the games look and run much worse than they did a decade ago on inferior hardware

Are they going to patch this soon? I was lead to believe that they released a patch but I was not prompted to download one whilst connected to the internet. If they patched the voices to the originals along with the musical score and sound effects, the grain and textures, I would be happy.

No idea on patch but i could not find anywhere selling this today even in the supermarkets.It does look a bad port though.

apparently the ps3 version is unplayable..how true that im not sure. but the 360 version seems to be working fine.

If you're not getting a prompt for the patch and you're on the EU version then it's probably pre-patched on the disc as it came out after the US release. From what I've read on gamefaqs the patch didn't do much though, still framerate issues, lip/audio sync issues, visuals are exactly the same etc, both games still run worse than they did on PS2.
