Any good survival horror games on PS3?

Don't say : That blood something game, it's awful.

Dead Space , it's action horror and only horror is when I jump at a random dieing person spurting blood over my face.

Not sure that there'll be many recommendations, as if you really don't veiw Dead Space as 'survival'-horror theres not very much that can fit your preferences, suppose your sick of the zombie genre ?, otherwise i would of said Dead Island, now that it actually works (patch 05) it's a massive open world kinda survival-horror, plus the price for goy edition is a bargain, (for psn), i liked the classic Dead Rising2 as well, but got very annoyed with the timed element, so sold it, But did pick DR Off the record up of psn, same game basically, but better made/playable... suppose true survivol horror is a lost genre this day and age, which is really a shame..

Both of those are 'action' horrors, where you're never scared but just hacking off limbs with the occasional jump.

I mean old school silent hill etc... so maybe your right and it is lost..

How about Resident Evil Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4? Or the classic Resident Evil games for the ps1 from the psn store? I like Resident Evil 2 which Is a good survival horror classic game. I hope this helps you In a way.

Care to at least explain why you think its awful as that can be classed as trolling. 

Its a good game, although the Japanese style can put many off, its certainly better then many of the Western attempts..

Horror games lost their way a while back However the best I played recently was Dead Space 2. FEAR is quite good but that could also be classed as an action horror.

I can't quite put my finger on my dislike for it, I just put it in played an hour and just never clicked with it, felt seperated from the atmosphere etc... just one of those things.
