I bet you can explore in large environments, but it will be pretty linear like Uncharted was.

“If the game was about the monsters, we would have not showed them in the trailer,”added creative director Neil Druckmann.
”The story’s not about them, so we thought let’s get it out of the way.”
Insisting that “we’re not going for horror,” Druckmann said the game is instead a sort of love story – “not a romantic love story,” but “a love story about a father-daughter-like relationship.”

Whilst I don't know whos involved in the story but Naughty Dog claim its going to have a decent plot.
Whilst I don't think uncharteds plot is any good at all I'm hoping ND can really deliver something decent in the way of storytelling here. Personally I think games are an often overlooked, yet fantastic medium for delivering a story.
