Tokyo Jungle is back in the spotlight! Following a lengthy silence, the unique PlayStation 3 title, developed by Sony's PlayStation Camp initiative, has reemerged in this week's Famitsu and at Famitsu.com.

The screens at Famitus.com show the game's two modes: story and survival.

In story mode, you work through individual stories for each animal. If you clear each story, it's possible that you'll learn the reason that mankind disappeared from the Earth and let animals take over Tokyo.

Survival mode lets you see how many years you can live playing as an animal of your choosing. The game includes 55 animal breeds and 75 variations.

 

Unfortunately, Famitsu still lists the game with a general 2011 release time frame, so there's no word yet on when exactly we'll get to play. But the game's reemergence from silence is a good sign that the wait won't be too long.

Looks very erm strange but looking forwards to something other then bloody FPS!

what a bizarre game but i like it because it's different from the most generic stuff we get released in the west most of the time, i am interested in this game as long as it doesn't disappear again, also that dog in the 1st picture reminds of the dog from dogs life, i enjoyed that game a lot on the ps2.

It reminds me of a PS2 game I had where your a spider, a side scrolling 2D platform game. :Loved it

IM so looking forward to this game. I really hope this is released in the UK. It reminds me of killer instinct. i wonder if it be possible for a chicken to beat a tiger in this game lol. For ,me its gonna be release of the year...

LOL forgot about this game

Just had a quick google and Wikipedia says ''As of August 31 of 2010, the game is 60% complete'' and estimates a 2012 release.
