yes as already said, seems we cant redeem code ingame so you need to come out of game, go to account management- redeem codes and enter it there. Also for limited edition versions you will find your extraction bonus content under the Dead space 2 disc icon on the xmb screen. Just installing it now, cant wait!!
To those of you who are quitting the game and going into Account Management to enter your codes...
There is a much easier way of entering them by clicking on extras in the Dead Space 2 main menu, then clicking on redeem content. Just enter your code in there then the 100kb file will download and install, and you're off. 
My thoughts on the game are that I'm loving it! Played upto chapter 6 so far and it's a massive improvement over the original, infact, they feel so different from each other that they seem like 2 completely different games. Graphics and story have been toned up considerably, furthermore, everything else such as the gameplay, loading times, sound and interface have been tweaked to perfection.
If you didn't like Dead Space for whatever reason, you may still love this! Think Uncharted 2 type cinematics and set pieces with addictive gameplay, plus a massive amount of replay value, and you have Dead Space 2.
