Just had a go, 1:49.249 was my time. I know I can make a time that down at around 1:48.500 or less, but I seem to screw up around 2 corners every time I try it.

Oh, and TCS sucks.

Tyres: Comfort Soft
Traction: 5
ABS: 1
SFR: Off

edit- oh yea before i saw this about the skid recovery i was at my cousins and played on his gt5 and got a time 0.002s slower than my best time at the time. was quite funny cause i was all over the place in the first half of the lap

i dont understand how skid recovery works, when it was off i had a ton of understeer, i thought it was only to stop you from spinning out

First lap 1 49.4

got it down to a 1 48.9 after a couple. on controller, using settings from first post. the time you could gain from just removing the TCS would be immense. it slows you down everywhere.

Are you running with Skid Force Recovery On?  Just getting that time on your first lap is crazy fast!
