Hi everyone! I’m Todd Papy, the Game Director of the recently announced God of War: Ascension.

As you may already be aware, God of War: Ascension will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 3.

For those of you who haven’t had a chance to check out what the team at Sony Santa Monica Studios has been working on, I’m excited to present you with our very first trailer. Watch it and let us know what you think in the comments!

Heres hoping for more of the Poseidon level on Athena's back kind of thing...

Will be interesting to see how Kratos is presented if this is set before his servitude to the gods...

Aye - suspect it would have to be a bit less 'fighting on the back of Titans' if it's pre-god servitude as well. Could still be very much awesome though, looking forward to it .

I've wondered if it might be possible to make a game that was the back story of God of War, i.e. you start of fighting the barbarians then when you're about to get killed you make a plea to Ares, you're given the Blades of Chaos and go to town on the barbarians.
