One wee problem with the new look... On my netbook, with a maximum screen width of only 1024 pixels, the forum is now slightly too wide for my browser (Firefox) and the right hand sides of posts go off the right hand side of the screen. Given that the netbook is the browser I'm likely to have in front of me when I'm actually at my PS3, this is a mite inconvenient. ![]()
Doesn't bode well for the Vita's mere 960-pixel-wide screen...

Web pages on mobiles are scaled to fit the screen size.
Browsers will soon have Auto Zoom/ scaling.
Safari allready has it in its web kit build.
Ipod touch has instant fit screen size, touch and the area you touch fills the screen.
Want an even closer view you have to use manual controll
If you cant read some thing you mouse over the area and it zooms in.
like Google image search, little thumb nails untill you mouse over and get a bigger image.
PC browsers are still on manual every thing.
For example with a screen size of only 617 you can scale the site to this.....
Can't read it but you can make the layout ok. to enable auto zoom to section with the mouse.

True... But that doesn't help me right now...

May be you could code a firefox extension that does auto zoom before they release it
( Have not looked there may be one)
Save you having to use the Controll +/- keyboard option like you do now per site.

I think I'd prefer someone tweak the css for the forums... ![]()
But I'll give the zoom thing a whirl. It doesn't touch the graphical width but the text does scrunch up. Ta.

How OLD is your Firefox version you are using.
All Zoom MODEs should effect Graphics not just text and allow smaller windows on newest versions.
Once you scaled the page, Layout errors can be caused buy the zoom option...

Firefox 8.0.
Stop making out that this problem, however minor, is somehow my fault. ![]()

The vita is out and can confirm it has Automatic Web site scaling and click to zoom from its web kit browser.
So Yep just PCs that can't do it now. unless that plugin exsists ( im of to have a look for A google chrome/ Chromium plugin.)
As setting the zoom manualy for each site the first time you visit is getting boring...
