I have a feeling we might have a new FW update shortly before the BBC sport app. The other apps seemed to appear close to updates and that new headset that's been on US blog states FW 4.20 required.

Wimbledon just over a week on monday we'll see if anything happens over the next week or so.

Firmware update should only be needed if the App requires Libraries that currently are out of date in the firmware. 

Due to My channels remote updates,( Its just a RSS feed after all ) the firmware no longer needs updates for applications normaly.

The US allready has Live sports streaming apps NHL,MLB and NFL and when they launched they also had Load issues... 

Personaly Id like the BBC sport app on PS3 to be independant from most of the firmware libraries ( Unlike Iplayer HD which relies on PS3 web browser to much. ) as it means the BBC can change it at will.

Yes... The headset needs firmware 4.20 because they added new multi audio presets to the PCM to RF audio controll of the firmware and of course to Fix Version 1 bugs... for those who imported.

Extra Edit : The Headset v2 is not Due till October.

The Tivo app Crashed during the first Live Euro 2012 match, it has been reported on a few sites, found that out after I went looking for info. (but they did not admit why. yet. might be BBC end or could be the Tivo app bug only.)

Hopefully that does not mean this has been delayed on PS3. While they fix other devices...

I've noticed recently that I can watch videos on the BBC sport website on an iPhone, so hopefully this app won't be too far away know that they've sorted that out

Panasonic smart TVs got it yesterday, Braivas today so where's the PS3 version??

BBC did there announcement in April with the Devices they planned to release on.

Its then up to the HARDWARE sellers to push their product, the same as all Iplayer HD devices are sold by the makers advertising not the BBC. The BBC is allready walking a thin line as they are not allowed to advertise a single brand line that brakes their rules on advertising. SCE UK needs to release updates but has not..

Iike the Tivo app update in june was annonced to tivo users only as they had the app allready, The BBC can't push one product line as it becomes Product placement advertising...

My channels section. If you Have BBC Iplayer, channel4, Mubi, ITV player and vidzone.  it should pop up under Iplayer and fill the last space out of six...

And I have the First Bug were the BBC sport player logo Won't vanish.
