As far as we know, it's UK only maintenance. SFZ works for SCEUK, not SCEA or SCEE. People need to stop making assumptions.
PlayStation Network will undergo a maintenance period on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012. Maintenance is expected to start at 9:00 AM PST and will last till approximately 1:30 PM PST.
If you are already signed-in to PSN, you may still be able to access PSN services the duration of the maintenance window. During this time, you may not be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Account Management or play online.

PSN has had weekly maintenance since day one. The more time you spend on the forums, the more apparent it becomes but it's really not any more than it has been in the past.
A few weeks ago there was a minor issue that took longer than expected to fix, so there was a week or two with more than one maintenance, but it's back to normal now.
