Well; I would assume the temperature of your room is warmer in summer than in Springtime...It's just my opinion.

I have had no problems with my 2.40 update AFAIK. Apart from I seem to get a DNS error then signed out of PSN wether I'm online gaming, or just sat in the XMB home screen, but I dont think this is 2.40 releated. Any ideas peeps?

no problems so far, but when they bring it back up' will it be a new fw 2.40 say 2.41, will we have to download it again

they say that not all features will be avalible because its up to the game developers to add it ANSWER

why dont they just make an update for example gta iv have an update which will enable these features on the game

It is meant to be released mid week... I updated ok but i get hard locks when trying to play a online game now, slightly annoying!

First I cant play online GTA4 agaisnt friends now I cant play online at all! 

WHat happened to Sonys high standards with updates, i remember when COD4 needed updating and they tested it so much!

I hadn't been on PS3 for few weeks and last night downloaded firmware v2.36. Now can't access PSN and last night had loads of problems downloading update to Guitar Hero 3 which I have just bought. Finally downloaded and can play game but when prompted to sign into PSN by the game it keeps coming up with DNS errors. Ran connection test on PS3 and first two parts of test fine until got to PSN and then the test failed. Error message tells me that my ID or password is incorrect. This can't be the case as I used them to log onto this site.

I am on wireless network via Virgin Media broadband connection. PS3 can connect to internet, PS Store etc. Is this caused by same problems as users have posted above?

I have finally fixed my ps3 from the crash it went through after downloading 2.4, it was abit annoying but easy once you knew what to do, all I had to do was to remove the harddrive and put it in my computer, then formate it all, put it back in the ps3, get a new version of 2.4 on a usb memory and put it in the ps3 (since for some stupid reason i couldnt install it with an earlier version^^) and now everything works fine, exept ofcourse that all my saves are gone^^ tho dont really mind that since I dont have that many games and i like to replay them anyway

I have the 60gb uk version and it works fine with 2.40 no problems at all, now worried somethin will go wrong with it 2 an paranoid the new version will confuse 2.40 when it comes out.
