The online battle service for this product  will terminate on 30 September 2010.

Offline play will remain available even after the conclusion of online service.

Well there goes the 1st trophy enabled servers to be put out of commission & making the concept of trophies a joke. Well done SCEE & congrats on failing to support your titles.

Just one question that comes to my mind when I read this:

What about the patch (v3.00) which enables Set 2 and 3 as well as trophies? Will it still remain online after the servers have gone?

Agree'd, well done Sony. Pretty much an Online only game (the AI is poor even at it's hardest) & now no servers. It makes spending all that money on the cards a joke

It's a shame that these servers are going down ... it was great fun playing against people who had strange cards, which you had no idea what they did, then they wiped you out

@vinny, I wasn't aware that the trophy collection need for you to be online ?

I'm worried about what PS-three-gamer said about the patch still being available, the patch is a hefty download

Can someone please clarify whether you need to play online to get the platinum trophy for this game?Or whether or not you need to invest in any DLC to get the Platinum trophy(i.e the set 2/3 dlc)?

No, all trophies can be obtained offline.

You need both set 2 and set 3 from the PSN store to be able to get Platinum.

Ah man come on *****? I was recently thinking about getting back into this, they shouldn't be dropping the servers, make the game cheaper or as free from the PS Store with PS Plus and try and bring the cards back into Game shops and supermarkets. You shouldn't need to drop the servers latch it onto another server so that the few people who play it can continue, the same with other games including calling all cars, make that free and bring back minimal server support, unless it increases rapidly. Make up some sort of system for least visited servers which allows people to get in contact with other online people that have the game that aren't on it.
