You guys have my sympathies....similar thing happened to me.
Recently i have been super busy, so when i finally got the time i thought i'd Play Lord of the Rings Conquest Online with my Brother (yep that's two copies we bought)...only to find out that we couldn't connect to anything online, not even co-op campaign!!! We were confused, a quick google search would have told us the servers got taken offline months ago....sucks as i never even went online with it.
So i definitely know what it feels like to have an Online functionality taken away, only you guys have invested way more money in EoJ than i have, which makes the reason to pull the servers down even more harsh.

peeps the only reason they would take the servers of line is due to inactivity. If there aernt people on the servers they are not going to waste money keeping them open.
my cousin had this game and it was god awful online ... it took 45 mins just to get into a game once.
someone also mentioned about them closing lbp servers after lbp2 come out ...... the thing is ..... there still is a lot more people on lbp now then eoj had on lauch ..... i cant see them closing it anytime soon.
the reality is that is just wasnt a very good game

They should release a LAN option , or Server / Host options dirrectly on our PS3 when they take offline. I'm preatty sure Somone can host a Game so a friend can join without have SOE server buisness. I got the game today to try.

Too bad, was a very nice game, took awhile to get the right decks sorted out, though it was time well spent. And yeah, it does help to keep cards available, albeit in a "revised" set, when it comes down to this game, I wonder if I would have picked this game up, if I were to solely play with the starterdeck.
Really dislike it, was just going to search for another triplet, now that would be a complete waste of money.
Do like the adhoc connectivity option given in this forum, just so I can play online again
They shouldn't have made this third set so extremely hard to find as it was. It never even hit the storeshelves here in the Netherlands, had to import them straight from the States ![]()
The only problem I had with the camera once in a while was timeouts, for reflective sleeves I used for the cards.
Let me know if there's any way of playing this game online... It's a great game and should not be taken offline like that. It was especially an online game, with such an immense variety of possiblities. I've become obsessed with collecting and trading of these cards, though the availabillities of set 3 was nearly not there at all. I'm still looking for some of those cards, so feel free to contact me if your willing to trade them.
My cards are all in Mint condition.
