PS3 System Software version 2.41 - now available.

Hi all,

The PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™ ) system software version 2.41 is now available.  With this update, the problem that has prevented a limited number of PS3 systems from activating properly after updating to version 2.40 has been fixed

If you have updated to version 2.40 and have experienced the problem that the XMB™(XrossMediaBar) is not appearing, or no images are displaying on the screen, please contact your local Customer Services (08705 99 88 77 in the UK - check any game manual for your region).

If you have successfully updated to version 2.40 and are able to activate the PS3 system, this problem will not occur on your PS3.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused, but thank you for your patience during the last few days.

thanks for that my ps3 never had a problem with 2.40 update. only i downloaded super stardust hd and it would not give me any trophys. just updateed to 2.41 and it still won't. it is still version 3 you have to be version 4 dont you to get trophys. have emailed playstation no reply i guess they have been a little busy over the last few days. can you help !!!!!

Could not agree more. Its amazing that they would implement a feature like trophies and have people wait for the game-companies to make updates for this. Sorry Sony, but would it not have been better to have a range of games that supports the trophies ready by the time you implementet the feature. Way to go. And can we please have the trophies be good for something??? Why should I be interested in them as they are now???

if u cant just have trophies so that u can compare and compete against ur friends u need to sort urself out... we are lucky to get this but there is always sum1 who wants more

Nah, I cant. Have had the achievement-thingy for years on the Xbox and it was just a waste of time. If the achievements opened up someting in the game, gave you a wallpaper, a new weapon, whatever.....just not...nothing!!!

Do you actually feel you have won or are better just because you have more trophies or a higher level???

i not got ne trphies yet cos the sshd patch not been re released lol... and i do feel happy beating my friends.. it makes it more fun to gloat lol
