These Portable ID challenges are pretty cool. I was planning on joining in the last time but never got a chance. This new one's pulled me in though.

Do these IDs neccessarily have to be an overt reference to the Vita or is the contest simply being held to herald the expansion of the Network? It was hard to think of concepts that didn't involve existing assets or insignia that showed clearly obvious links.

In any case, this is the design I came up with:

I saw that space and just thought I could draw a curved dragon head that would fit  nicely. Also, it is the year of the dragon...plus the Vita is a BEAST of a machine. (/strawclutch)

Also this is how I imagine it'd look with a background gradient of some description:

But excuse how off-colour the purple bar at the bottom is...just a quick mock-up to see it it still looked passable

And to the people saying they don't have Photoshop and suchlike, you don't need it. There are plenty of other free alternatives out there; I did this with a program called GIMP.

Here is my custom made tag with a little fox playing his PS Vita like so many of us are =) Character designed by me... His name is Freddy =)

Version one without background and version 2 with one. Now...I Don't have PhotoShop and I'm not good with that kind of stuff but if the idea has promise I'll sort it out and iron out the cranks, thanks =)
