Re: Assassins Creed 3

lol I can't think of one hero that is British though...

I think the British being enemies is going to be a bit of a theme perhaps it has been in loads of games I just haven't noticed it before.

Dishonored and AC3 kinda have the same "red coats" being killed.

The debut trailer for Dishonored probs shows it the best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZ___7WU64Y

Also ZombieU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPHPd1EP_c8

Perhaps this is the most iconic look for a baddie / hero lol :smileytongue:

Re: Assassins Creed 3

Has an Assassin's Creed game ever won Game Of The Year?

In terms of creating the perfect open world and all the detail that goes into that there really isnt anything out there that even compares to it.

[ Edited ]

sir daniel fortesque is the best british game hero ever and the only 1 i can think of lol

the tomb raider films are pants but i think the voice for the games as always been a brit doing it

its hollywood turning brits in to the bad guys over the past few years so it was always going to happen in a game

Re: Assassins Creed 3

Angelina Jolie is american... the Lara Croft character is from London. I've only dabbled with the game, but I assume all the voice actors have been british, or have put on an accent..

Assassins Creed did get GOTY from some gaming media... Don't know if it ever did from the ones that really count... I remember it getting GOTY from Australian OPM, which was quite remarkable seeing as it wasn't an exclusive, and was going up against Uncharted (in an official Playstation publication), and I think COD4, which regardless of what people think of it's series and the sequels, the first Modern Warfare game was brilliant...

I've always been hugely critical of AC1, and not just since the sequel came out and made it look ordinary... even back in 2007 the cracks really started to show for me after about the third assassination... But I still admired what it fantastically, and that was set up a stunningly beautiful open world that was totally explorable... Beautiful in a SOTC kind of way.. and it did pave the way for AC2, which is IMO to this day one of the best stand alone games on the PS3 or 360...
