I think it depends on whether there are parties on the team. As a group of 4 people from the same party all with headsets is gonna mean you will get owned. They will use that god damn annoying stun trick on you. They lure you in, you get stunned, you get up, the other stuns, you get up, stunned again. This is really annoying. If this is the case, just leave.
Manhunt is good for points as you are always gonna come out with a score as you are hiding for half of it. I think this is good thinking on Ubisofts part.
I am level 50 and dont think I have got above 5000 (without bonuses) top score lol. It's all about luck sometimes, knowing the maps and getting used to the pace. It's a lot different from anything else.
I am playing tonight to try and get Extreme Variety for like the 100th time lol but I can always help you online. Show you the ropes lol. Not that I will be of much use as above lol.
Yh I pretty much played on manhunt exclusively once it was unlocked, stick to manhunt and it will be more forgiving for new players. Playing more experienced players will mean you will lose a lot but that is the nature of the game. Its not so much the abilities etc its when high levels group up.
You can still get a good score but it takes a lot of thought, you cant just run into their trap with the other lower level players. That's why I love the mp myself, you have to think about the situation and if they are all higher levels sometimes it means you have to hold back and wait for someone on you're team to be the bait lol, once they think things are all clear all of a sudden pick one of then quickly get away and see who moved.
It comes down to experience, the people who understand all the tricks will get most points so if you learn these tricks you have a chance low level or not.

Stun Locks are easy to get out of, If you have a Headset you can get some help from the team or you can just press Triangle to release.
Once out you need to get back in However I will say that offering yourself as a stun Lock is a good way to tie up 2 of the opposing team. This means that their team is effectivly under manned remember it takes 2 players to stun lock 1 other player, in a 4 v 4 fight that is actually quite can be a viable tactic if it wasn't for the outlandish points you get for keeping someone in a stunlock but when playing capture the chest or Escort it can help in the end.
As to the knowing the game part it doesn't take a genious to work out that this is a broken game. When it's all about stealth and 75% of people spend most of their time running around you know it's not about stealth.
I'll say it again the Brotherhood MP is poorly designed and implimented, lets hop the Revilations MP is a much better thought out object.
