We need a raw Audio API like WebAudio.

Hi.

 

I'm looking for making a SHOUTcast player on the PSS but

current PSS have no raw Audio.

any future plans for it?

Hi nikq,

Yes, we do have plans a low level Audio API (controlling bit streams etc) in the future, however the schedule for this is unconfirmed at the moment.

Agreed, I have just started work on a Squeeze box player but will need a raw audio api asap so I hope this is high on the priority list

"In the future" means, I'm sure, once you've started charging for the SDK.

@FreePlanPSN, Once we get to the Official Release, the SDK will be available to everyone for free. We are still in beta at the moment and we have no time-frame for this right now.

Hi ! Just to clarify.

Does it mean that SDK will be really free to use for everyone and developers still will be able to use non-beta SDKs and debug on real devices ? So, until person go to distribute the applications via PS Store - there is no need to pay for SDK/contract for using it ?

I think you'll need a licence if you want to debug on your devices, but the sdk and running on the simulator is free. And I understand this licence is then both for publishing and debugging on your devices, as you probably need the same certificate for both?

niwrA is correct. The license fee will be required to test your applications on a physical device and to distribute your applications on the store. You will be able to download the SDK and test in the simulator for free though.
