Dunno. It's like people who complain about C4 on flags.
If you don't know the game well enough to chuck a grenade at a flag before taking it then you deserve to get blown up.

Or save yourself a grenade and just 'spot' on your approach to see if there's any there in the first place.  

I'm also confused by this and thought ATs are the RPG's, the Javelin is surface to air so how can it count? Or have DICE just worded it badly?

The Javelin is also an AT weapon, it just so happens it can also lock on to air units

Yeah I googled it after my post and found it was dubbed both AT, and surface to air. And to think I spent a whole game on Narshar Canals trying to take down Little Birds thinking "I've done this before" with my RPG :I

When I first heard of this Assignment I thought it meant the Stationary AT's.

That would be a better challenge.

Only managed to get two so far.  Both RPG's on those pesky Little Birds on Narshar Canals

i got a couple of my AT launcher kills last night with locking onto random soflam designated choppers.

i would say teaming up with a friend is a must to get this any way guickly, i dont agree with any form of spawn camping.

one thing to be aware of, you dont need to kill the pilot, you just need to destroy the chopper, so if the pilot bails you can still get your chopper destroy. This happened on one of my chopper destroys, the pilot jumped out just before the rocket hit, he susvived and the chopper got hit and i got the vehicle destroy.
