Re: Armored Kill - Update is live now

Ping is almost certainly better than the wireless Europeans I was playin against. PS3 right next to the modem and yet I'm the one punished.

Makes sense.

Can't say I'm too impressed. Maybe too early to say but if you like big maps you will be fine. New tanks etc are crap.

I think the Quads could be spaced out a bit better. Sometimes you walk through a area of houses & there;s just nothing. Maybe the transport choppers would been a nice choice to.

You were my first AC130 kill to, cheers!

Glad I could help

Re: Armored Kill - Update is live now

Dont get the comments about the distances and lack of vehicles. Personnally have always found one nearby and if not then yeah its tough I better walk but isnt that kinda the point of the DLC?

Love the new maps and size of them. Kinda brings Soflam, Javelins and stingers into play more as well.

I hate to say it - but MW3 is more balanced than this. I don't know what DICE have done.

Tanks and choppers still dominate with no resistance. Infinite spawning flares and smoke bombs.

They've given DLC buyers special guns which they all use as they're over powered (everyone is using Tar).

20mb fibre optic broadband means nothing as your seemingly lag compensated just like mw3. Shoot people a lot - they turn round and kill you.

You can blow up vehicles - spend a lot of time doing so - only for the enemy to just hop out full health in the distance meaning everything you've done has been pointless as another chopper will just spawn.

Or the personal favourite ; shoot a jet... Disable it ....only for him to fly off out of range (air rocket lock on missiles have a range of about 10meters) and heal.

Awful. I'm done with this game. Such a shame as for a good few months it was grand.

Gor gods sake Cloudy give it a rest today... are you in a hate BF mood today or something

MW3 more balanced lol...I was playing it at weekend and its a travesty. Every gun is identical so yeah supposed balanced but every game is exactly the same

It appears you are now on the offensive towards tanks again. Once again its You that has this problem no-one else. There is no lag compensation as you put it so stop making things up.

The "special" guns you refer to such as the Mtar I personally find useless so you are clearly confusing overpowered with perception,

And shooting jets.... If you disable it its knackered

Re: Armored Kill - Update is live now

I haven't seen anyone use a soflam yet. I could really do with people out there using them so I'm not stuck choosing between the ground and the sky.

Maybe as people settle into the levels we'll see more of it.

Re: Armored Kill - Update is live now

The maps are great but the player limit on consoles is a big problem.  I bet the DLC will be great on PC.  Only played a few rounds of Conquest but even in a full game I hardly saw anyone.

There's only 12 players on the enemy team,  on a map the size of north yorkshire.  2 are dead,  2 are snipers trying for an implausibly long headshot,  4 are waiting for vehicles or in the AC130 - leaving only 4 guys actually on the map somewhere.  The chances of bumping into somebody are slim.

When I was playing it I saw plenty of people, all in vehicles while I was having to run about on foot:smileysad:

Re: Armored Kill - Update is live now

Alright, whose braindead idea was it to release the massive 1.5GB patch the SAME day as the Armored Kill premium release (another 1.5GB)? Came home, put on the game, see the patch, thinking it's got all the map info included, then, go to premium store and find I have to download another one for the maps, my Virgin fair use policy is now deciding to cripple my bandwith due to the time of day.:Argh:

Even worse, after trying to download from the premium store and clicking "download in background" the game just decides to freeze. It's done this twice. I'm pretty peeved tbh.

Anyone else having issues like this?
