Anyway, are you some sort of Middle Eastern parent? The majority of 12 year olds in Britain watch and play 15-18 games..

No not Middle eastern but dont think there is anything wrong with enforcing policies on your kids. Im not stupid enough to think they dont watch/ play these behind my back. Indeed I was brought up to same way with my parents not letting me watch certain films etc and dont think there is anything wrong with that.

Half of the problems with kids today (not speaking to you personally) stems from them not having discipline installed at home therefore most of them think they know better and more about their "rights" and they are "equal" to adults. If I would have spoken to my parents they way I see some kids from liberal "let them spread their wings and be a free spirit" parents I would have literally been battered and rightly so. This then as a knock on effect to everything in society as I wouldnt have dared give back chat to coppers or teachers or indeed anyone in authority through fear of my parents finding out and out of respect. Kids nowadays think they are mature when they are 13 and know everything

Anyway rant over and jeez i'm getting old

When I was 12-13 I wasn't allowed to watch 18s really, nor play 18 games.

But in my opinion, I think the old 'do what your parent says or else' way helps in some cases, but you need to be a bit leniant otherwise when your kid moves out they'll be messed up due to having no real independency as a child.

Mind, my parents are quite strict, don't get me wrong. I have my daily chores etc.

And I'm with you on the opinion of those who get whatever they want, because they become right pillocks when there older/my age.

Re: BF3 Prem Worth the £40 ?

I grew up with not many restrictions to movies, but at that time in the early 90's. I was never in the house, so I never really even got into games or movies until I was maybe 12. By then my main thing was reading & painting models, nerd style. But even the early 90's in Northern Ireland was still a bit of a warzone, so maybe I was a bit numb to anything graphic.

Playing GTA,Manhunt & Thrillkill at 14-15 never made me go out & rob stuff haha. Christ I never drank till I was 2 weeks from being 18, & I've never smoked. So if I wasn't being influenced by smokers & drinkers around me, then I don't see how games influence people either. Unless there just weak & I am the superior species of all stuff!
