BF3 Premium Advice Re: Maps

Hi guys, looking for a bit of advice about buyin premium in relation to maps.

I already have B2K and have no interest in Close Quarters, so that rules out 2 map packs included in Premium.

What i'm wondering is, is it cheaper to buy the remaining map packs individually (taking in to account i wont b buying b2k or close quarters) or would i still be better off buying premium?

also, when they say premium has "new vehicles, weapons" etc. are these "exclusive" to premium members, or will the new vehicles and weapons be available with each individual map pack purchase?

also, does any1 know will the map packs be a standard price or will some be more/less expensive than others.

cheers for any/all advice...

Re: BF3 Premium Advice Re: Maps

Assuming the pricing remains the same for the last 2 map packs then yes, it will work out cheaper. I think all packs individually are about £11.99 or £12.99 so for the last 2 only.. that would amount to no more than £26.00.

With Armoured Kill, the new vehicles are included in this pack.. same as 10 new weapons included with close-quarters. You don't need premium for the vehicles/weapons.

Premium just gives you things on top like 2 weeks early access to DLC, new skins, queue priority, stat resets, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now.

Like a fool I went and bought Premium this evening. Hoped to get a few rounds on CQ but still downloading. :smileysad:

It's not 2, but 3 packs that are yet unreleased. :smileyhappy:

Armored Kill - September

Aftermath - December

End Game - March

So it's just under £36 for the remaining 3, if OP (or others) intent on getting all of them. (This is given that they don't change the price of the individual purchase)

The real question is can you ignore that big gold PREMIUM button in the menu thats begging to be pushed.  It's been specially designed to make you feel like your missing out on something.

Re: BF3 Premium Advice Re: Maps

I heard that Aftermath may be Co-Op missions which will rule out another DLC pack for me because I'm not really interested in buying Co-Op missions lol.

Got PREMIUM? The font size is as big as "CAMPAIGN" or "MULTIPLAYER" so we're effectively offering you a component as vast as the game's story or online arena. It's also written in GOLD so you know it's classy and worth the monies.

If that isn't enough, we'll also put PREMIUM in GOLD letters on your dogtags, menu, profile and loo paper so everybody knows that you're worth it. Hell, we'll even put your golden self ahead of everyone else in queues. You feeling left out yet sucker?

The premium part isn't really worth it unless you want all the maps at a cheaper price. We should have had new weapons as well as a new razor blade looking knife, a few skins & camos, dog tags and exclusive videos. The rest is purely cosmetic and it doesn't really make you stand above the rest all that much TBF.

By the looks of things Plamby it might be cheaper for you to just buy as and when they are released.

But looking at the descriptions of all the DLC packs they all follow the same pattern and contain 4 new maps, weapons and new vehicles so I don't think one will be coop related :smileywink:

But in all fairness the new close quarters are so much fun, and a refreshing change from the usual large scale battles.
