At any point did i say 1 is better then the other?
I'd just like to defend my earlier position of writing off MAG without ever playing it.
All of you do that, every time you form an opinion based on a review of something you haven't done yourself. Most of us don't need to climb Mount Everest to know that we wouldn't personally enjoy it.
As for games, we often make opinions based on videos and reviews from sites like gametrailers. I've watched many videos of MAG on youtube and coupled with the public beta testers opinions around here - I know I won't like MAG.
I trust Symonator's opinion on all matters gaming having read his blog and watched many of his videos over the years, even on subjects as diverse as the Eyepet. One thing I know for sure, he doesn't write any game off unless it's total garbage.
If they want to make a success of this MAG venture - it's people like him they should be listening to, along with the other long serving members of the community.
With all that said, I think i'm justified in not bothering with the game. I did play the BC2 beta and I know the game will be great. Can't wait to get it.

Its nice to know that some people can actually justify there stances on a game with a well written, reasonable statement like yours, kudos and yes Symonator's blog is an excellent read
