Just dropped in from the MAG forum.
There are a lot of people who are fence sitters on buying MAG and the Beta did not help. And the kicker is BFBC 2 looming on the horizon is killing it. A lot of people I have talked to are saying "save your money and just wait until BFBC2 comes out early March and after that you won't even remember what a MAG was!!"

Yep the demo for BFBC2 wont help. Its Current rumour date 4th feb is just 1 week into mags release Life.
FREE ONLINE MP v Paying for MAG online MP.
IF EAs DEMO SERVERS hold up then there will be WAR. IF they come crashing down like a C4 wired building. like so many other Demos. BFBC2 will fall. (The beta was Good but this is free demo)
MAGs fun when there are leaders but getting to rank 15 is boring after so many betas.
MAGs on the ground action All the time. So realy should not be in the same area as BFBC2
BFBC2 Is Real Vehicle based combat, ground action and support weapons...and the AI that runs the Satellite/radar systems.
"APACHE" to late called it. May be next Respawn.

However, it doesn't release until March so I'm gonna do what any reasonable man would do, buy both.
You'ev done the best thing if you ask me. While I like MAG the BFBC2 Beta was very impressive. It was very slick and does have that Battlefield feel. Being a big Battlefield fan myself I will no doubt be playing this game a lot.
Now this leaves me with the dilemma of whether to buy MAG. What MAG offers me that BFBC2 doesn't (which previous Battlefields did) is the massive battles. 256 player battles are crazy but loads of fun. The only problem is that you do need some teamwork going on otherwise it can be quite frustrating.
256 players is a massive achievement and zipper have pulled it off well but the game itself feels a little klunky, especially when compared to BC2. Maybe if there is a 2nd MAG they will make the game more slick. This is why I think I'll purchase the game maybe not to play it so much but to support the developers in creating an impressive game in the fact that they have got 256 players on the same server pratically no lag. It would be a shame to lose this especially when the one game you would expect it from doesn't have it. Maybe it would encourage DICE to include more players on consoles in future games if MAG was a success.

Im telling you guys its gonna be totally worth playing both. Pick up MAG on the 27th, if you like it then thats sweet, if you're not playing it anymore in March the trade in value should still be high, and you should be able to trade it in for BFBC2 and get the game for just about half price.
Also, if you're like me you can trade in MW2 for MAG and get that for cheap too.
