Battlefield 4 announced

I know we're all still in the hype of BF3 but thought you'd be interested with this

'EA has allegedly confirmed the existence of Battlefield 4. According to reports on Twitter, Electronic Arts president Frank Gibeau commented that "there is going to be a Battlefield 4" during a keynote at the University of Southern California.

Given that Battlefield 3 was the fastest-selling game in EA history, the news comes as no surprise. Still, this marks the first time that EA has publicly acknowledged the existence of the sequel.

We've reached out to EA for comment and will update with any official confirmation we receive.'

If they want to 1 up it on BF3 I'd say it'll be in dev for at least 2-3 years

DICE have already said they they're not looking to make it an annual release so it will probably be a few years off yet. There was a 6 year gap between BF2 and BF3 after all.

Probably. I don't think we'll see another Battlefield game this gen, unless of course they decide to do Bad Company 3.

all developed by Dice. People don't seem to realise that.  Quite clever on there part, with activision it all falls under the Call of duty name. 

 

Perhaps Treyarch should have taken on something else title wise.
