Dice servers are back

Just discovered 2 pages of Dice servers in my browser history where before there was only one left.

A quick search for Dice revealed 30 pages of servers, the majority of which appear to genuine Dice servers again.

Happy playing :smileyhappy:

Re: Dice servers are back

2 pages claiming to be Dice but not even half a page are actually official. What idiot call their server official dice yet use official rules |

It shouldn't be aloud.

I'd understand if they was trying to copy Dice official ones but they aren't. Still a zillion tickets and god knows what other stupid game rules.

at least you don't have to go into the game to find out though, but still annoying all the same.

Indeed. They should remain quiet about it.

Re: Dice servers are back

Went on this afternoon and found a good few pages of Dice servers, only problem was 90% of them were rented. I think I found 4 actual Dice owned ones.

Why are Dice allowing people to name their rented ones -[Dice]- Epic Battles? I joined one thinking it was official only to find out it wasn't. People should not be allowed to make rented servers look official.

As far as I'm concerned this game is pretty much dead now. Will keep hold of it to play with the clan I'm in but not going to bother with it anymore.

I've also read that all these rented servers that are ranked and if they are banning certain weapons then they are breaking the terms of the rental agreement.

Re: Dice servers are back

because the DICE "whatever" name is a default name given to the server is you use the quick setup option, whereby you choose a certain map list.

Epic battles, most popular, etc.

Re: Dice servers are back

Shouldn't really be allowed. It's a pain having to go through them all to find one owned by Dice. When it's rented out then the default name should be removed or better still have a [R] if rented or [O] if official.

At least all you have to do is click on the server name and check out the game settings. It says up top that it is a Dice official server - enjoy your stay. And then in the little box at the bottom it says who the owner is. If its an official one it says Dice, if not then the persons PSN name so they cannot get too far away with it :smileywink:

If its not Dice then just back out to the server list :smileyhappy:

Re: Dice servers are back

Some people only put rules in the server message that pops up when you first spawn in,  and only then can you see how many players are required to start.  My quit percentage has gone way up since the rent a server scheme arrived.  Quit% is an irrelevant stat now I think.

Sometimes i'm not prepared to wait for 8 more players to arrive,  or other times you spawn and find you've joined an admin controlled base attack.  I had a good Quit% stat before,  i'm slightly annoyed its been ruined.  I always join with the intention of seeing things through to the end,  and longer games are OK,  but if you're locked in your base and you're the only one trying to get out being repeatedly pushed back - you look at the 500 remaining tickets and realise how many times you're going to have to die to finish this game.  Times like that I just back out.

Yeah but Dice's is the same description and always on the server description page. If anyone was to start copying it  then just check the owners name and it will say Dice if its official.

You watch someone will have a PSN name as Dice now to get people to join their games :smileyvery-happy:
