[AAAAAAAARRGH]

Is it just me or have engineers gone a bit nuts with mines? I've noticed more and more players actually running up to enemy tanks and throwing mines around it while hoping the tank driver is somehow oblivious and trundles over 'em.

Its not like they sneak around the back like support people with C4, they're attempting full frontal assaults. Its really funny to see happening, especially when they succeed destroying a tank, even ifs it mine or a team-mate. I had a couple people attack me all at once when I got my tank stuck earlier, could not stop laughing while trying to kill them.

Anybody else noticing this?

Anyone remember the demolition kit from Bad Company 1?  I had a great game on the End of the line map,  a tank tried to run me over because I was standing in the middle of a field with nowhere to run but I dropped a couple of mines just in time.  It exploded and ground to a halt right in my face like a dramatic scene from a movie.  

Those special moments you never forget.

I tried that loads of times...and failed that loads of times. 100% failure rate, not bad, not everyone can match that kind of perfectiveness.

I was playing with Lock the other day and we played cat and mouse with a tank. We were in a jeep, I placed mines over the crest of a hill, drove at the tank got it to chase us BOOM

You see the same thing with the support class and C4 really, they charge across an open ground of maybe two or three hundred metres performing a bizzare hop-a-long zig zag technique.

At first you think " well he's optimistic " but that soon turns to concern as he starts to make ground on you, what is it with the hopping around in BF3, it seems to give you a health boost?

No matter what class, if a tank is close enough, I always run towards it. Most times the driver jumpes out thinking your planting C4 haha.....Then there are times you just get run over

I'll do this on occasion when I'm caught without RPG ammo.
