Remember the 'Experimental MIRV' Fat man gun, the one that fired 8 mini nukes simultaneously. The gun that could totally annihilate any opposition, and level whole cities with a single squeeze of its trigger. Well its in Battlefield 3 and its used by every player ranked 43 or higher. Only its not called the 'Experimental MIRV' anymore,  EA has renamed it 'USAS-12' .

This gun is so frikkin ridiculous, that if all you desire is to win at any cost then you dont need an army, team or squad, you only need one player to stand in his own base randomly firing his heat seeking, tank busting, scope equipped, frag blasting, tactical nuke firing death ray gun into the battlezone and watch those points mount up. Easy, job done.

it is annoying, i agree, it annoys me because i rarely beat anyone in a game that uses it....

i wouldnt be able to tell you if i think its overpowered or not until i have used it myself....

but my true feeling on this gun is that it bores me to see so many people using it, i would prefer to be killed by a variety of guns, rather than just the one USAS with Frag Rounds....

but yeah each to their own, if its available why shouldnt people use it if it works for them....

ho hum.... i like running around trying different guns all the time, just a few missing from the tried and tested list

It should be nerfed. Or give us a full automatic grenade launcher attachment to fight back. It's just a cheap way to kill people, you don't even need to aim at them, just around them. DICE went full retard when bringing frag rounds into this game. I think people coming from COD use them more than people coming from BF

It will be nerfed soon. They posted this yesterday:

"We will be correcting an issue in which the USAS-12 is more effective compared to other FRAG-equipped shotguns - In an upcoming update."

Have to admit though, I've gone into a Squad DM about a week ago, where at least one entire squad was using this, and we beat them. Felt so good

I must admit I use it on Metro but apart from that map i find it pretty useless as 9/10 times on other maps the player you are shooting at is at range and theres far better guns than the USAS-12

I love it when I kill usas-12 noobs,I LOOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!! It's the only weapon that makes me rage like the hulk. I thought it was OP in Socom until BF3 created a whole new monster
