I'm confused. I cant seem to fire the tanks guided shell. I have the CITV station and on the rare occasion that someone mans it and laser designates a target for me i cant seem to fire the guided shell. When the target is marked i press the triangle button to swap to the guided shell and i get the orange triangle with the dot inside on the target meaning i'm locked on and ready to fire, but when i try and fire nothing seems to happen. What button do i press to fire, because L1 dont seem to do anything? while i'm faffing around trying to fire the stupid guided shell the other tank just blasts me to pieces. Any help please.

You press R1 I think haha.

You press L1

You need to wait till the tone stops beeping and becomes a solid tone, you don't need to have the target designated to lock on to ground targets, only flying targets

No its not R1 as i have zoom optics set there

Are you guys sure its not R1? Makes sense to zoom with L1 & shoot with R1, same as the guns outside of a tank. I'll jump on to a match here to confirm.

So can i fire the guided shells using L1 without someone manning the CITV station then?

Yeah, point it at the target and wait until the square becomes solid and the tone changes then fire

You can't fire them without locking on even if there a laser target.

ok cheers buddy, i will try again. I'm pretty sure i waited for the constant tone before but i will try again.

I tend to fire the guided shell first then follow it up with a normal shell straight away

I think take you can lock on to a designated target even without line of sight on the target
