Hello BF3-Community,

The European Football Championship is in full swing, so we thought, why not even organize an international tournament between the PlayStation communities? Here it is; we only play Battlefield 3 but on the principle of the EM.

In each case, 12 players per community compete against the other community (Scandinavia: special rule, see below).

The following communities are participating: the UK, Republic of Ireland, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Scandinavia, Portugal and Poland.

Rules and Tournament Schedule:

The Tournament is as follows:

At least one game per week should be played in each group! If all games finish before the expiration of the time, the next rounds will be preponed of course.

The captains of each community shall set a date after consulting their teams and run the games independently. If neither of the two teams have their own server, the tournament director (robbe1210) shall be informed over the desired schedule.

Anyone who owns Battlefield 3 can play because we only play normal maps. All maps are played in standard mode.

The game only starts when the two captains give the starting signal. The captains come together in a text-chat!

Server settings are as follows:

• Preset: HardcoreNormal
• Map Rotation: see below, individual phases of the tournament
• Servertype: private and with password so that no foreign players can join

If the captains notice a player who does not follow the rules, the player must be kicked from the server! To guarantee that each team has the same chance, each map is played twice. The number of tickets is always 100%

- First group stage: 18.06. - 08.07.12 (two groups of three teams, each against all)

- Semi-final: 30.07. - 05.08.2012

Map Rotation:

• Kharg Island - Conquest
• Grand Bazar - Rush
• Tickets in %: 100
• Number of rounds: 2

- Final: 06.08 - 12.08.2012

Map Rotation:

• Operation Métro - Conquest
• Damavand-Gipfel - Rush
• Noshar-Kanäle - Team Dethmatch
• Tickets in %: 100
• Number of rounds: 2

The teams have been randomly assigned to groups already.

Tournament Schedule:

There are three points for the winner team for each game won. The results must be postet >>>here<<< in text and image (photo) by the captains.

Please note that a private game is not recorded in Battlelog; you cannot rely on it!

Scandinavia: This community is very small so only 6 players take part against this community!

It won't strictly be 'England' for us, more The UK and Republic of Ireland.

Sorry to be pedantic but 'England' doesn't go down well amongst Scottish, Welsh and Irish member of the EN community. Would you mind changing it to UK/ROI?

Edit : Also, many of the Scandanavian members take part in UK BF3 events (including Neshy) so perhaps it would be a better idea if the scandanavian folks were able to join in with the UK/ROI?

Normaly you are one community, but we will change it. You are the UK right?

It was supposed to be not just a nation tournament, but a PlayStation Community Tournament. The number of teams can no longer be changed, otherwise everything gets confused. If you get two teams together, we emphasize Scandinavia and make two English teams, but the real purpose is so distorted.

NB: I changed the countries to "UK" and "Republic of Ireland". I think what "confused" robbe was the titling "English Forum". "English" in that context refers to the language spoken on the forum only, not the region. Just like the "German Forum" covers more than Germany, like Austria and Switzerland.

Ich glaube nicht, dass Hardcore-Modus eine gute Wahl, um ehrlich zu sein ist, würde Standard-Modus besser sein. eine Menge Leute steigen von Hardcore-Modus gedreht traurig
