Guide to using Network Passes/Voucher codes- Battlefield 3

Hi all,

With the impending release of Battlefield 3 (officially tomorrow!) here is a guide to Network Passes for anyone who is unfamiliar with them.

As this is an EA/DICE title you may be asked to redeem a voucher code/pass which accompanies newly purchased copies of the game. This is generally found on the back of the manual, or an accompanying leaflet.

Generally this can be redeemed in the game menu and you will most likely be prompted for this. The code will enable online play (without this you will not be able to play online).

If you have got the game early (lucky you!) we would generally suggest redeeming the code after midnight tonight. This allows for the content to be ready and available for the day (in some cases the content is not always available till the official launch day!).

If you have redeemed it with no issues then (again lucky you!) this should be fine. If anyone has any issues or errors with the download, let me know and I will do my best to investigate.

Thanks

RabidWalker

[ Edited ]

It might also be worth mentioning that the version of BF3 on the PSN store (00:01 Friday) priced at £49.99 includes a single account online pass (for the account which buys the game) and the Back to Karkand Expansion Pack (available until 00:01 Monday when it will revert to a standard edition). This was all confirmed on the EU Blog yesterday.

For once, not a bad price for people not wishing to head down the shops.

I disagree £50 for a download is a rip off

Just another crafty was to make more profit.

Re: Guide to using Network Passes/Voucher codes- Battlefield 3

I (might) have an issue, I was able to pick up my limeted edition of bf3 yesterday (lucky me as I live in EU) and when I pressed on multiplayer I had to activate the code wich enabled me to go online + it would give me the back to karkand expansion pack. so I activated it and it did download the pack aswell, however I cant find the back to karkand pack anywhere in bf3, + if I go into the in-game store it says "no items found". (I havent checked my download list on the psn store itself, I'll do that tonight)
