I asked then about it today on twitter and they just said would bring it to developers attention

So in other words they won't and it's bye bye official Dice servers.

I've contacted them on Twitter asking about the official servers, let's see if they reply. If they don't or come up with a generic reply we can safely say they have gone.

They can't have removed all of the offical servers right before they release a major DLC pack

Looks like it. Nobody can find them anymore. If they have then I won't be getting the DLC and I doubt I will buy another BF game again.

All the Dice servers have gone, all that remains are a few EA servers which are just Rush and TDM only. All the EA Conquest servers have completely disappeared.

Re: Have Dice given up on Battlefield 3?

That would explain why I haven't been able to find a decent game of Squad Rush recently then

At least Co-op hasn't been messed around with yet. Have gotten quite into it since the servers went dodgy

I'm sure the servers will be back soon.  Its more likely they're renaming them and altering the official playlists because of all the complaints.  I haven't heard a single person who likes the new map rotation so maybe they've finally listened.

Maybe they're changing how quick match works too,  so that you only get official games.  We're assuming the worst.  It doesn't really make sense to withdraw the servers unless its a mini update or server patch.

Re: Have Dice given up on Battlefield 3?

I contacted them on Twitter last night asking where the official servers were. Up to now there's been no reply, so you would have thought if they were updating them they would have said, all I've got is silence.

Re: Have Dice given up on Battlefield 3?

The biggest question we’ve been hearing from much of Battlefield 3′s console audience is, “where did all the DICE servers go?” This is in reference to the official DICE servers whose titles usually begin with ‘-[DICE]-’ and are usually centered around regular game rules and set-ups, providing a typical and expected Battlefield 3 experience which can be found in the console’s server browser.

With the introduction of the ability to rent private servers on consoles, players have noticed a steady decline in official DICE servers, meaning only rented servers, usually with tweaked game rules, are mostly visible. Battlefield 3 Global Community Manager Daniel Matros answers why in a recent AMA on Reddit.

“There is only so much physical space and digital space where you can have servers. The community requested an RSP programme and we delivered,” according to Matros. This makes sense, but at the same time, player should still be able to find servers that center around regular rules, set-ups and playlists that they’ve come to love. Luckily, Matros explains that DICE has taken notice of the feedback. “I’ve heard this for a while now and the feedback has gotten louder. This is definitely something I will raise when I get back into the studio tomorrow,” explains Matros.

When asked if the removal of DICE servers is a permanent move, Matros answered, “everything in the wonderful world of Battlefield is dynamic,” giving hope to those wishing for their return.

Yes they may be renting their own but surely DICE need to recognise that when I want to find a quick match - I want a real original server with the set amount of tickets and all that :smileysad: This is so annoying.

But that's assuming DICE actually care :smileyvery-happy:
