Re: I'll just leave this here

[ Edited ]

Never believe the promises of companies.

here the game was released at 69€ so premium is actually cheaper than the game at 49€. Strange this wasn't posted when the B2K maps were released at 14,99€. Taking that pricing though you still get a bargain with premium for the content. TBH though I think Premium will only cater for the BF3 regulars more than anyone else. I wouldn't get COD Elite now as I won't end up playing it that much but I will get premium soon as I will be playing BF3 a lot.

Back to the point though lol isn't it publishers have the final say and not the devs?

And before you say "EA made the business model, not DICE."

nope.

"Premium is made at DICE. The premium videos are recorded here, the premium camos were developed here, the in game UI is built here, the business plan was developed here, the marketing team works here, and the core of the content, the DLC Packs are concepted, designed, and developed here at DICE." -Alan Kertz, Core Gameplay Designer

Triple A gaming is at a very sad point were DLC is sold for more than the game it self. Cheerio chaps.

The image only quotes dice as saying they dont want to ever charge for DLC. That does not really equal a promise to not ever charge for DLC.

The headline of that page is a little misleading considering the quote. Most companies would like to be able to do things like that, its good for the brand, but in the world of reality this would be quite damaging.

Always read the quotes, not just the headlines. The headline is just there to generate traffic.

Not with Dice. They are free to do what they what and EA have less restraints on them as with other publishers who own the developer.

Obviously if EA want a specific game or DLC then they'll put if forwards and fund it. But 90% of Dice work on their own accord and fund their own work without EA getting involved. Its how all developers should be able to work IMO.
