Like he said - there's a bunch of different servers. We can't choose manually. And at times, the odds of connecting to a server far off is pretty high.

i am not BSing you here people i swear i have never had lag, or at least none i have noticed and found it neccesary to leave a game, its not like im sat on top of a 100mb leased line either im on o2 broadband with 6mb down and 1mb up

I'm the same. Zero lag for me with average speeds of 4.8mb down and 380kb up.

It's the ONLY game I own that doesn't lag up or DC when the laptops are on at the same time. We must just be lucky.

Same here - my 8mb package ends up yielding about 6mb. Depending on where you live, you may only get 2mb despite paying for 8mb. My brother's is like this.

...:/ Like any other online game - if you have some 10kb/s up and down free (less than 256kbps), and your router is still mapping and keeping the connections properly, then you're fine on your end as long as you're not hosting.

If you have a 100Mbps line, and only have that because you're running through a complicated load-balancing system... Or if you're flooding the router with connection requests at the same time (by being open in - i.e., running a messenger client with all your ports open... or out - bittorrrent client without limits, things like that) then you could still have packet loss and bad ping.

But in this case, the reason why either some clients lag, or why the game seems slow sometimes, mainly is because you can't always connect to a close server. Hopefully that will change sooner than later, so they can turn down the allowed lag and resync sessions towards the servers again..

Wait this doesn't use psn servers? They use EA servers so thats why theres lag

honestly again from me no lag last night and i was on for a good few hours only annoying thing is when you swap kits and it goes to SAVE in the top right hand corner

maybe thats lag i dunno

No, that's just bad engineering...many games manage to save in parallel to the action, including this game offline.
